History
In 1352 a house known as 'Roughedoune' was sold by John de Bures to Sir Richard Gurney and the name is remembered in the name Rowdown, the building is thought to have stood between the modern roads, Rowdown Crescent and Vulcan Way.
The woods are a mixture of Ash, Oak, Wild Cherry and Hawthorne.
