Search for regeneration projects in Croydon

Changes to the road layout will make walking, cycling and bus journeys the most popular methods of travel along Brighton Road. All changes will be sufficiently flexible for a potential longer term extension of the tram network to Purley along Brighton Road. As changes are made, options for public realm enhancements and regeneration opportunities will be explored. 

The scheme aligns with the Mayor of London’s Transport Strategy (MTS) which seeks to encourage people to walk, cycle or use public transport instead of jumping in the car for short to medium length journeys.
