How you can help
In times of crisis Croydonians always pull together, so it’s no surprise we’ve had so many people wanting to help in response to the coronavirus outbreak.
If you're fit and well and want to volunteer, sign up to Croydon Voluntary Action (CVA) which connects volunteers with those who need help and support. New volunteers will be asked to complete a short form, after which they will be contacted by the CVA to talk through their capacity and skills, before being placed in their first volunteer role.
Changes to voluntary and community services (VCS) in Croydon
Some of our voluntary and community services are having to operate in a different way in reaction to the coronavirus outbreak. The CVA website will provide updates on any changes, and alternative arrangements.
If you’re part of a volunteer organisation and need support
You can contact Simply Connect Croydon, who are a social prescribing service for the borough of Croydon, managed and delivered by Croydon Voluntary Action (CVA) and Volunteer Centre Croydon.
You can email them: firstname.lastname@example.org or call 020 8253 7076 (10am to 4pm Monday and Friday).
Funding and financial support
You can apply for funding through Croydon's VCS COVID-19 emergency fund, or another fund set up to provide relief for VCS organisations. Find out about the funding available.
