Early Help Family Solutions

Early help is the support we give to children, young people and their families where they have additional needs that are not being met by universal services – for example, school and a GP. The service we provide is called Early Help Family Solutions.

The aim of the service is to provide locality based early help to families to prevent difficulties becoming worse. It offers intensive and targeted support to children aged from 0 to 18 years, and their families who are experiencing difficulties, such as:

  • domestic violence
  • living with drug and alcohol misuse
  • mental ill health
  • low level neglect
  • school exclusion
