The coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine rollout is the biggest vaccination programme the NHS has ever undertaken. This is being delivered by NHS teams through Croydon's local GP led services, care homes and hospital.
COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective. They will give you the best protection against COVID-19.

Who can have the vaccine?
The priority is to vaccinate the most vulnerable people in our communities, and frontline health and social care workers.
To find out who is currently being offered the vaccine, go to 'Who can get the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine' on the NHS website.
How to get the COVID-19 vaccine
Online
You can book your vaccination appointment online if you are in one of the eligible age groups.

Vaccination centres or pharmacies
You can book appointments at a larger vaccination centre or a pharmacy that provides COVID-19 vaccinations.
If you are a health or social care worker, contact your employer about getting vaccinated.
Please do not go to a vaccination site without an appointment unless it has been advertised that a walk-in clinic is taking place that day.
Visit nhs.uk to read more about what to expect at your appointment.
Continue to keep Croydon safe
While the vaccines will give the best protection against COVID-19, we should not forget that it is only part of our defence against the virus. Please continue to follow the public health guidance and take a lateral flow test (LFT) if you have any of the symptoms of coronavirus.

Vaccine related scams
To protect yourself and your family members from fraud and criminals, remember the vaccine is only available from the NHS and is free.
The NHS will never:
- ask you to press a button on your phone keypad or send a text to confirm you want the vaccine
- ask for payment or for your bank account or card details, to pay for a vaccine or to confirm your eligibility for the vaccine
- ask you for your PIN or banking password
- arrive unannounced at your home to give you the vaccine or discuss it
- ask you to prove your identity by sending copies of personal documents such as your passport, driving licence, bills, bank account details or payslips
Please remember:
- if you receive a call that you think is fraudulent, hang up the phone
- if you believe you have been the victim of fraud or identity theft, report this directly to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040
- if you are vulnerable, and someone has been to your house, or you're worried someone might come, report it to the Police online or call 101
